¡Hola a todos! We are off to a great 2016-2017 school year in Spanish room 114! We have been busy learning new vocabulary and reviewing previous topics as well! Here are some highlights of the last few weeks!
Third grade: Since it is their first year of Spanish, we have been learning los dias de la semana (days of the week) with the Addams Family theme song and los meses del año (the months of the year) with the Macarena song. Ask your child to teach them to you! We are able to describe the weather and will practice saying weather phrases as news reporters and weatherman. Stay tuned! Fourth/Fifth grade: We have been reviewing weather phrases and describing the weather each day. We are also reviewing los saludos (greetings) and how to answer simple questions in Spanish, like ¿Como te llamas? ¿Cuantos años tienes? ¿De donde eres?. Students will create a texting dialogue between two people using these phrases. All of the videos we use in class are on my website. To find them, go to the STUDENTS tab on the homepage. On that page click on SONGS-VIDEOS and scroll to find your favorite video!
